2000 Pax Syrah, Cuvee Syrah, California

Older Vine Contra Costa Syrah gives this wine its Spice and depth. The Russian River Syrah brings the exotic flowers and silky texture, and the durif (Petite Sirah) fills it out with structure and tannins. The sum of this wine is greater than its parts.

Tasting Note:
Dark black cherries, plums and fresh cracked black pepper fill your nose. Gobs of rich red & black cherries, white pepper, purple flowers & vanilla coat the inside of your mouth. The finish adds a breath of smoke, green olives and bright cherry kirsch.
