2003 Pax Syrah, Cuvée Christine, Sonoma County

This is a proprietary blend of four of our most concentrated Syrahs in the cellar and is intended for lovers of big, hedonistic California Syrahs. This is a full throttle, in your face California Syrah not like Cote Rôtie and as far from Hermitage as you can imagine. It is the perfect wine to drink while you're waiting for the Cuvee Keltie to settle down.

Tasting Note:
Sweet blackberry, graphite, licorice, ink and massive fruit round out the aromas. In the mouth it shows huge extraction, sweet black and blue fruits, toasty oak, iodine and tart cherries round out the attack, while the mid palate is mouth-filling and sweet. Waves of blackberry pie, huckleberries and cherries complete and linger long into the finish.
