2003 Pax Syrah, Cuvée Keltie, North Coast

Once again we chose the best barrels of the 100% whole cluster lots from six different vineyards to produce this cuvée. A wine to lie down in your cellar and enjoy with a couple of years on it. In its youth, the wine is spicy and tannic, with age the fruit will play a more dominant role and meld all of the components. This is special juice!

Tasting Note:
Black pepper, cassis, brown spice and white flowers in the nose. On the palate this wine reminds us of the 2002 Pangea, very intense, densely structured and packed with sweet black & blue fruit. Waves of concentration, spice and exotic pencil lead and floral components keep the finish intriguing long after the wine is swallowed.
