2003 Pax Syrah, Kobler Family Vineyard, Russian River Valley

This exciting new Russian River vineyard, in which Viognier is planted along with the Syrah, enables us to create a new wine that is completely different from the other wines of this area. By Co-fermenting 10% Viognier with the Syrah, we ended up with a cross between the Walker Vine Hill and the Alder Springs, Terraces. We are crazy for this blend and thrilled to add it to our Russian River Syrah program.

Tasting Note:
Sweet peaches and lavender highlight the dense black fruit and spice. Mouthfilling and exotic, the tannins add structure and depth and the viognier brings highlights of peach pit and lilacs. Long, sexy and concentrated, this promises to be an important part of our line-up.
