2004 Pax Syrah, Alder Springs Vineyard,
'The Terraces', Mendocino County

As usual we co-fermented all of the Viognier we could with the Syrah grown on these steep terraces. We got just enough Viognier for a 5% co-ferment. Another wine that is indicative of the vintage in that it is a bigger richer version of it's self than past years, but it is still very much 'The Terraces'. Another stunning wine from a piece of soil that we feel blessed to work with.

Tasting Note:
Orange blossoms, cherry liqueur, marzipan, baked blueberries and pepper. In the mouth fine tannins, sweet black, blue and red fruits, minerals and roasted coffee. The wine builds in the mouth and delivers waves of intoxicating flavors and inner mouth aromas. Fascinating, persistent and harmonious.
