2005 Pax, Cuvée Moriah
While this is a rough blend, each of the individual components still aging separately are all superb on their
own. The Grenache component is dazzling as the alcohol is the lowest we have ever seen in this cellar and the
flavors are thick and precise. The Mourvedre component has the typical funky tree bark and animale scents & flavors
that marry so well with the fruit driven Grenache. Together with the multiple small lots of other southern Rhone
varietals, this will be a very graceful, very elegant, very delicious bottle of wine. This is one for the
Francophiles!

Tasting Note:
Thick aromas of damp earth, tiny wild-strawberries, forest floor, green chartreuse, raspberry compote, white pepper,
ripe plums and fennel pleasure the nose. In the mouth, lush red fruits, strawberry preserves, dusty earth, black
plum, pepper, anise, layers of fruit spice & earth cascade over your palate. This wine is very complete and very
complex at this early stage, really nuanced and intriguing, Yum!
