2006 Pax Syrah, Cuvée Christine, Sonoma County
This 100% Syrah is blended from the most forward, fruit driven, luscious concentrated barrels in our cellar. This delicious blend is once again based on Syrah from Kick Ranch, a beautiful rock laden site at the foot of Spring Mountain, which in combination with a new mountain site on the eastern edge of the RRV is no doubt loaning this wine its new found richness.

Tasting Note:
Deep purple-magenta, effusive crème du mure aromas dominate this spicy and massively rich smelling wine. The palate weight seems richer than the 2005 at the expense of the earth and stem spice that was so provocative in the 2005. This wine is altogether darker and seemingly riper, while the alcohol is pretty close to identical as the 2005. While the 2005 had a strong European character, this wine is all California!
