Tasting Note:
Crushed strawberries, fruit cake, rhubarb and white pepper on the nose. Fatter and richer than the gorgeously lean & spicy 2005 with sweeter fruit and riper tannins. This bottling resembles the 2003 more than other releases of this blend. Soft and sexy on the palate with a magnificent delicate floral element that lifts this otherwise ripe red fruited wine. The mid-palate weight carries into the long seductive finish of strawberry, rose-petals pepper and baked cherries. Strangely enough this 100% whole-cluster fermented wine is showing very little tannin at all. Dangerously delicious….this was one easy to drink glass of wine.
