Tasting Note:
Expressive crème du mure, anise, espresso and wet stones. A wallop of sweet blackberry, roasted earth, blueberry pie, smoke and creosote greet you at your first sip. The wine expands in your mouth and adds a fresh fruit and energetic spice element, but the super ripe blackberries and plums dominate the palate presence. The wine comes across as a more luscious but less complicated version of the 2005, with a similar tannin structure and more muscular stance.
