This sandy site always creates a wine w/ an amazing texture. The 2006 is no exception and boasts a forward sweetness of fruit that we haven't seen since the 2001. The increased use of stems in this wine has enabled us to build more tannin and weight into this silky voluptuous wine.

Tasting Note: Blueberries, raspberries, cured meat and roasted espresso peak out of the evanescent aromas of this black-as-a-moonless-night wine. Immediately luxurious on your palate, this is pure Syrah. Meatier than past versions and almost as vivacious as the exotic 2001, this wine delivers all the intensity of past Walker Vine Hill Syrahs with more punch from the increased stem inclusion in 2006.
